On June 5, a delegation led by Mr. Qiu Qihua, Executive Vice General Manager of Guangdong Shaoneng Group Co., Ltd. (“Shaoneng Group”), visited Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (“Zhiguang Electric”) for discussions and exchanges. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Cao Chengfeng, Vice President of Zhiguang Electric, and Mr. Yu Dianyun, General Manager of Zhiguang Integrated Energy.

The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on intelligent computing center energy infrastructure, source-grid-load-storage integration, computing-power and energy synergy, virtual power plants (VPPs), and behind-the-meter energy storage. Leveraging their respective industrial strengths, both parties explored new opportunities for collaboration through precise alignment of resources and market needs.

During the visit, the Shaoneng Group delegation toured Zhiguang Electric’s Yonghe Energy Storage Industrial Park, corporate exhibition hall, and Independent Energy Storage Operations Center. They gained a comprehensive understanding of the company’s full industry-chain layout, power electronics R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and digital energy operation and maintenance system. The delegation also learned about the commercial deployment of Zhiguang’s cascaded high-voltage energy storage technology, power quality management solutions, and integrated energy solutions, expressing strong recognition of the company’s technological expertise, mature product portfolio, and end-to-end project delivery capabilities developed through years of dedication to the energy storage sector.

During the meeting, Shaoneng Group shared updates on its strategic transformation and core business development. The company is focusing resources on clean energy and integrated energy services while leveraging high-quality regional industrial platforms and robust energy infrastructure to actively participate in the development of the big-data and computing-power ecosystem. At the same time, it is continuously strengthening its full-chain industrial layout for the integration of computing power and energy resources.

Mr. Qiu noted that the computing-power industry is experiencing rapid growth and increasing cluster-based development, driving rising demand for highly reliable, stable, and low-carbon energy infrastructure. Energy storage systems and virtual power plants have become essential components for ensuring stable operation and optimizing energy efficiency within large-scale computing clusters. Building on its clean energy resources, Shaoneng Group is prioritizing investments in computing-power and energy integration while expanding behind-the-meter energy storage applications for local industrial customers and exploring diversified integrated energy service scenarios.

Mr. Cao introduced Zhiguang Electric’s core competitive strengths. Rooted in the integrated innovation of power electronics, integrated energy technologies, and digital technologies, Zhiguang Electric is committed to the high-quality and large-scale development of its energy storage business. The company has established a distinctive competitive advantage built upon proprietary technologies, full industry-chain collaboration, and one-stop service capabilities. Zhiguang has developed a comprehensive energy storage ecosystem covering R&D, intelligent manufacturing, engineering implementation, and smart operation and maintenance, enabling it to meet diverse energy infrastructure requirements across computing-power facilities, grid services, and other application scenarios.

Given their highly aligned development strategies and complementary resources, the two parties reached a preliminary consensus on future cooperation. Leveraging Zhiguang Electric’s comprehensive technological and industrial-chain advantages, Zhiguang Integrated Energy will provide integrated technical services and engineering support for Shaoneng Group’s intelligent computing center clusters, including source-grid-load-storage integration and behind-the-meter energy storage projects. In turn, Shaoneng Group will contribute its regional computing-power industry resources and practical application scenarios to facilitate project implementation.

Moving forward, the two companies will establish a regular communication and coordination mechanism, with a strategic focus on the “Intelligent Computing Center + Source-Grid-Load-Storage Integration” model. Closely aligned with the development trends of new power systems and computing-power/energy integration, the partners will deepen practical cooperation in areas such as computing-power and energy synergy, virtual power plants, and behind-the-meter energy storage. Together, they aim to accelerate the deployment of integrated renewable energy and computing-power projects, supporting the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the regional computing-power industry.
